HandCarryPRO Terms of Service

HandCarryPRO is an information-based resource connecting professional and freelance couriers with individuals and corporate entities. HandCarryPRO does not vouch for or endorse the reliability of any of the individuals or companies using the HandCarryPRO platform to promote their services, and anyone using any information shown on the HandCarryPRO website in any form whatsoever agrees to indemnify HandCarryPRO against any liability incurred through the user’s use of the HandCarryPRO service. Users agree that HandCarryPRO is in no way responsible for mediating between users of the HandCarryPRO website and is in no way responsible for resolving any dispute between users no matter how any such dispute may arise.

Users of the HandCarryPRO platform also agree to the following:

Prohibited Items & Items with Limited Liability

Users of the HandCarryPRO platform will not use the HandCarryPRO platform to collect or ship (or solicit to collect or ship) any item prohibited by law in either the country of collection or the country of delivery, as well as the following:

• Chemicals
• Explosives
• Gases
• Flammable Liquids
• Flammable Solids
• Human Remains
• Oxidizers & Organic Peroxides
• Toxic & Infectious Substances
• Lottery Tickets or Other Gambling Devices
• Radioactive Materials
• Corrosives
• Other Dangerous Goods
• Weapons
• Ammunition
• CDs, DVDs or Memory Sticks
• Food & Beverages
• Pornography
• Literature Promoting Racism or Religious Hatred
• Items of Religious or Cultural Sensitivity
• Cash or Cash Equivalents
• Drugs (Prescription and Non-Prescription)

Users of the HandCarryPRO platform also confirm that they are aware that ALL international shipments (envelopes & parcels) are subject to inspection by the customs agents in the country to which the shipment is being sent. This means that items may be opened up to be looked at based upon the user’s description or may be randomly opened for inspection as a general look to ensure that items are correctly marked on the commercial invoice. If the item or items being shipped is of any value whatsoever (either monetary or non-monetary), anyone using the HandCarryPRO platform to find a courier to send permitted items agrees that the sender is responsible for ensuring that they have proper insurance or declared value protection on their shipped item before giving it to any courier for collection.

Anyone using the HandCarryPRO platform to find a courier to send permitted items confirms that they fully understand that in some cases there may be a maximum declared value for the items they wish to ship, and that if they wish to insure certain items for a higher amount they will arrange this in advance with their insurance provider. Items that are subject to these restrictions in certain jurisdictions include (but are not limited to):

  • Artwork, including any work created or developed by the application of skill, taste or creative talent for sale, display or collection. This includes, but is not limited to, items (and their parts) such as paintings, drawings, limited-edition prints, fine art, and collector’s items.
  • Film, photographic images (including photographic negatives), photographic chromes and photographic slides.
  • Any commodity or contract that by its inherent nature is particularly susceptible to damage or the market value of which is particularly variable or difficult to ascertain – e.g. autographs, non-disclosure agreements, architectural plans, wills, or contracts.

Customs Clearance Charges

Anyone using the HandCarryPRO platform to find a courier accepts that couriers offering their services through the HandCarryPRO platform reserve the right to pass on any customs clearance charges directly to the shipper. If the shipper does not wish to pay the charges and the consignment is returned, all return charges will also be passed on.

Courier Terms of Service

All freelance and professional couriers offering their services through the HandCarryPRO platform must provide their own ‘Terms of Service’ documentation with all quotes that they send out to enquiries received through the HandCarryPRO platform.

Anyone offering courier services on the HandCarryPRO platform must be at least 18 years of age or the minimum age to legally conduct registered business activities in their country, whichever is older.

All freelance and professional couriers offering their services through the HandCarryPRO platform must conduct their own due diligence if they are contacted by anyone requesting courier services, and is wholly responsible for conducting their own due diligence in connection with any courier task they are offered.

Taxes

All freelance and professional couriers offering their services through the HandCarryPRO website confirm that they are fully responsible for paying all local, regional and international taxes that may be applicable to them as a result of any income obtained as a result of enquires sent to them through the HandCarryPRO platform, and all couriers using the HandCarryPRO website confirm that by offering their services through the HandCarryPRO website they are fully responsible for ensuring they are not in breach of any local or international laws that may be applicable to them.

Severability

If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law, the enforceability of any other part of these terms and conditions will not be affected.
